THEWAVE F L O R I D A C R E D I T U N I O N Beyond the Arc – a fundraising campaign The Beyond the Arc campaign has returned! Just like last year, Florida Credit Union is donating $25 to the Education Foundation of Alachua County , up to $10,000, for each three-point basket made by the men and women’s Florida Gators basketball teams. The Education Foundation of Alachua County is a non-profit organization that invests in students through a variety of programs. Due to FCU’s rich history with teachers, we could think of no better cause to continue to support. On January 8, FCU and the Education Foundation will partner to attend the UF women’s basketball game against the University of Georgia. The Education Foundation students, families, and mentors from Take Stock in Children will attend with 50 tickets donated by FCU. We’re also happy to announce the return of the Free Throw Challenge featuring 1996 Heisman Trophy winner and FCU member Danny Wuerffel! One lucky University of Florida student will compete against the former quarterback in a basketball free throw challenge to win cash and raise additional funds for the Education Foundation. This year’s edition of the Free Throw Challenge will occur during the February 11th men’s game – UF vs. Vanderbilt. We hope to see you at a game and go Gators!
