Nowadays there’s an app for just about everything and your finances are no different. So, in honor of National Financial Awareness Day, lets take some time to see if there’s a budgeting app that might be right for you!

While your specific financial goals will ultimately determine which budgeting app is going to work best for you, there are a few common features that are beneficial to anyone. Features like tracking spending and keeping up with bills in one place are just small steps you can take on your way to your final destination: financial freedom.Budget-or-Bust.png

If you’re just looking to track your spending and pay bills you might want to start with Mint, the most popular budgeting app on the market. Mint features custom budgets, bill-tracking and gives you access to check your credit score, for free!

For those looking to put away money or invest, download Acorns. This app rounds up transactions to the nearest dollar to build your savings and also has an option to set up automatic investments. There’s no money, like free money and when you share a unique referral link with friends and they sign up, Acorns will give you $5!

Remembering when and which bills are due can be a tough beast to tame but thanks to Prism, worry no more! Keep up with bill due dates and make payments all from one place using the Prism app.  Most retailers are linked with Prism and you’ll simply need to login through the app to connect your accounts.

Keep in mind that, like most everything else, budgeting apps are not one size fits all. If you don’t find an app that fits you on the first try, there are plenty of others that may. Florida Credit Union also offers a wide array of financial tools to fit your needs, whether you’re trying to save for retirement, or calculate a new loan payment, we can help.
